Ekobo Spun Bamboo Bowls

These Ekobo spun bamboo bowls are made in Vietnam using an ancient technique. Fine strips of bamboo are coiled into a spiral around a mould and then stuck together using natural glue.

Each piece is then sanded, hand-polished and painted with vibrant colours. The bowls are safe for edible products and should be hand washed and dried thoroughly after use.

Ekobo uses bamboo because it is a very fast growing, natural, renewable resource which requires no pesticides or fertilizers. Bamboo also has an extensive roots system that helps to stabilize soil and prevent soil erosion.
