This Simply Gentle Organic Cotton Wool is the first organic cotton wool produced by a UK company. More than four years has been spent sourcing the raw cotton and meeting rigorous purity standards at every stage.
Approximately 5% of the product purchase price will be used to help smallholding farmers in Tanzania, East Africa, the source of the organic cotton.
Instead of using toxic chemicals to control pests, they use natural methods. For example, planting Sunflowers by the cotton crop attracts up to ten times more pest-eating ants than would be found on a conventional plot.
